Center City Study Club
Continuing dental education works best when it connects professionals who are genuinely invested in growth. The Center City Study Club was founded in Philadelphia in 2007 to create a space where dental professionals can learn from top-tier presenters, support a meaningful cause, and build lasting relationships with colleagues across the region. Dr. Jay Laudenbach, a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology with over 40 years of experience, founded the club and organizes each event alongside our broader commitment to the Philadelphia dental community. A portion of every registration fee goes directly to support Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center.

Why Attend the Center City Study Club?
The Center City Study Club is more than a CE box to check. Every session offers a chance to connect with colleagues from different disciplines, discuss challenging cases informally, and leave with both CE credit and practical clinical knowledge. Referring doctors who attend regularly describe the club as one of the most efficient ways to strengthen both their knowledge base and their professional network in a single evening.
Referring doctors also gain direct access to Dr. Laudenbach’s periodontal perspective, particularly valuable for cases involving periodontal disease treatment, gum grafting, and implant readiness. According to the American Academy of Periodontology, periodontists receive three additional years of specialized training beyond dental school, making specialist-led CE events particularly valuable for interdisciplinary collaboration. The Center City Study Club is designated as an Approved PACE Program Provider by the Academy of General Dentistry. The formal continuing dental education programs of this program provider are accepted by the AGD for Fellowship, Mastership and membership maintenance credit. Approval does not imply acceptance by a state or provincial board of dentistry or AGD endorsement. The current term of approval extends from 9/1/2024 to 8/31/2028.

Join us for an insightful presentation on “AcciDental: A Clinician’s Guide to Dental Trauma” led by Dr. Eisler, an Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. With extensive experience in restorative dentistry and dental education, Dr. Eisler will explore key topics such as acute trauma management, treatment planning for complications, principles of splinting, luxation injuries, and fractured tooth care.
At the conclusion of this session, attendees will have a deeper understanding of evidence-based approaches to dental trauma, helping them strengthen their clinical decision-making skills and navigate both acute and long-term post-trauma care with confidence.
