Case 1. This patient recently had a crown redone by a dentist in China. She continued to have pain after completion of the crown and her gums were bleeding and swollen due to a fracture of the tooth root. Dr. Laudenbach extracted the tooth in a gentle fashion to maintain as much bone as possible, and a dental implant was placed and a replacement tooth added to the implant at the same appointment! The final all ceramic crown is seen on the right. Our patient was really happy with the final results!

Case 2. This patient had a sizable infection at the base of her front tooth (see arrow on x-ray). Dr. Laudenbach extracted the tooth in a gentle fashion to maintain as much bone as possible. The final all ceramic crown is seen on the right. Another happy patient!

Case 3. On the left x-ray you can see part of the tooth root is missing due to root resorption and possibly dental decay. The final all ceramic crown is seen on the right. Another healthy and esthetically pleasing result.

Case 4. This patient had several crowns made for her front tooth in the past 5 years. No matter how the crowns were cemented, they still came out over and over again. As a result, the lower front teeth have moved upward (erupted) providing less space for a new crown on the upper tooth. This patient had an option to "crown lengthen" her upper front tooth to move the gum tissue up and expose more sound tooth structure. If this treatment was only performed on this tooth the gum tissue would be uneven in comparison to her other front teeth. Instead the patient elected to have the tooth carefully removed and a dental implant placed the same day! Dr. Laudenbach achieved excellent stability of the implant and our patient left with a fixed temporary crown in her mouth all in the same day!
