Periodontal Prosthesis
Drs. Kenneth and Jay Laudenbach completed training in Periodontal Prosthesis at the University of Pennsylvania in 1972 and 2006 respectively. The program was created at Penn in the mid-1950s with a philosophy based upon using restorative and prosthodontic techniques in the treatment of the dentition that has been damaged by periodontal disease. The philosophy of the University of Pennsylvania program is that periodontics is basic to clinical practice, and that any special area of dentistry, including general practice, should be based upon the principles of periodontics. Since the 1950s vast changes have occurred in the field of dentistry, yet the core principles of Periodontal Prosthesis remain viable. Today, regenerative techniques allow periodontists to save teeth for longer periods of time, and to rebuild lost bone or soft tissue. With the advent of dental implants as a routine, safe, and predictable treatment modality we are able to replace missing teeth in all areas of the mouth to restore your smile and to maintain your oral health.
At The Laudenbach Group we utilize the multi-disciplinary approach of Periodontal Prosthesis to rebuild the form, function, comfort, and esthetic appearance of your smile. Our approach includes routine adult dental care as well as sophisticated comprehensive reconstruction or rehabilitation of the entire mouth for adults with dental caries, bite problems, jaw joint difficulties, complex oral problems, or chronic pain and discomfort.
