Oral Medicine
Joel M. Laudenbach, DMD practices Oral Medicine. Some patients in dentistry have dental pain which is unrelated to the teeth. Sometimes the source of pain is the jaw joint, muscles, the nerves themselves, or another source. One area that Dr. Joel Laudenbach focuses on is the diagnosis and treatment of pain in the oral and facial region.
Dr. Joel Laudenbach evaluates sores and lesions in the mouth that are new and/or do not go away by themselves. Have you ever bitten your tongue and an ulcer appeared for a few weeks? What if this ulcer never went away? Is this ok? Is this a problem? Dr. Joel evaluates and treats these lesions which may result from trauma, tobacco use, or systemic diseases.
Some patients have dry mouth, burning in the mouth or painful/swollen salivary glands which interfere with eating and daily life. Patients are often referred to Dr. Joel Laudenbach for assessment, diagnosis and management.
