Digital X-rays
Computer based digital radiography is used for all radiography in our office including panoramic radiographs. This technology reduces the exposure to radiation because it requires 90% less radiation than conventional film x-rays. The images are more visible as they can be magnified 300x the normal size to enhance diagnosis, manipulated to correct contrast, and color-adjusted to reveal hidden problems. The "CDR" Sensor has the same superior image quality as film according to the ADA Seal of Acceptance requirements.
Finally, the x-rays are in a size and format that our patients can see and understand! The dental team spends less time in the dark room and more time with you discussing the health of your teeth. CDR is good for the environment also. Gone are the days of caustic, metal-based chemicals being added to the atmosphere and wastewater.
